Can't withdraw from daily tournament

Hi,

For some reasons, I've decided I don't want to play daily chess anymore. However, I can't seem to find anywhere where I can withdraw from this tournament https://www.chess.com/club/matches/1551343. I've managed to successfully withdraw from another daily before, but I can't find the button anymore. Any ideas??

The tournament is in progress and is a club match. I believe the only option is resignation.

Hi. You are currently playing in 2 matches for the club, https://www.chess.com/club/matches/home-educators-chess-club/1551349 and https://www.chess.com/club/matches/home-educators-chess-club/1551343. In your post you referenced Club match 1551343, where you have finished both of your games. The reason you can't withdraw is because you don't need to: unlike daily tournaments, which have multiple rounds, this is a club match: so once you have finished both of your games, you are done, there are no more games/rounds after that. You don't need to worry about withdrawing from this match, because you are already finished with it.

In Club match 1551349, you have not finished both of your games so of course you can't withdraw with out resigning both of your games, however you can turn on vacation time, it's totally allowed in these team matches: one of my opponents has 2 months of vacation turned on! Just don't forget to check when your vacation time ends. Find out more here: https://support.chess.com/article/624-how-does-vacation-work-how-much-time-do-i-get

Hope this was helpful!

Thank you Joseph for explaining that 😅 I understand the difference now.
