Challenges - Can game lengths be shortened?

I and a couple of my friends cannot figure out how to challenge one another to say a 30 or 40 minute game.  The shortest game length one can choose, as I recall, is 1 day.  There are no one hour or less choices seemingly available.  We're also confused about "Win = +165" and "Lose = -165" automatically coming up in the challenge details (at least in the last attempted challenge we did).  Is this a rating point gain or loss, or what?

If you want to play at those time controls, you have to do it in LIVE chess, not online.

Rooperi - Thanks for your response.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see a way within Live Chess to set up any kind of game directly with a specific friend, unless they happen to see your name on the game list and get there first.

If they are on your Friends List, then you can see when they are in Live Chess and challenge them from there. I don't suppose that the site can ensure that they will be there.

Hi Atos.  Thanks, I believe I understand what you are saying.  I'll do a little experimentation and see what happens.
