They just changed it to rapid and have been planning the change for a while. They probably won't change it back.

lol. I just bullied komodo5 just to get my rapid stats to be recognized by the system.
It is a strange mix now, when playing it shows the blitz value, but results affect the rapid, I think....

Yeah, they still need to change how it's displayed in Live.
Is 9 min 30 sec blitz or rapid can someone check?
Mark my words, they messed up the time format, 10 minutes was made specifically for blitz, not for rapid...
But even I said this in another forum..., oh just carry on my fellow members.
Chess.com is taking away my blitz dignity
Hate that it’s moved onto rapid rating. Used to enjoy blitz, winning about 3/4 games... now just getting hammered every game against people way better than me! 😞

for me 10mins is too long to be considered blitz. now they are the same with lichess
No, I think that 10 mintues is not to long, it would be too long if it had increment, but since it doesn't I think it still qualifies for blitz, but since it is rapid, then it is rapid...

what happend to the system ? what is blitz and what is rapid? suddenly i play really low rated players and get points , which dont count on my rating ?
