Chess.com performance issues while playing

Hi there,

I recently bought the new M4 Mac mini (16gigs of ram, 256gigs of storage) to replace my old computer. However, while playing on chess.com, using the latest version of Safari, I noticed that the CPU was used at 100%, and when I close the chess.com tab the CPU usage is normal again (about 2% system and 2% user). I searched in the system monitor and it seems that the problem is the '/System/Library/Frameworks/WebKit.framework/Versions/A/XPCServices/com.apple.WebKit.WebContent.xpc/Contents/MacOS/com.apple.WebKit.WebContent' (path) framework. Can you tell me how to fix this ? While playing chess, having your CPU at 100% doesn't guarantee the best experience

you need to change your Clock Speed

I am running into Chess.com being slow on my new Mac Mini M4 as well. I have the thing Ethernet'ed to 1GB Fiber internet, and Chess.com is the only site I have noticed issues. It took so long, after clicking the "Play" button, that when the game loaded, I had already abandoned the game with a notice not to make a habit of abandoning games. It is weird because my computer before was an M4 MacBook Pro. Unlike the original post, I am using Google Chrome to play, but it sounds like we are running into a similar issue. Would love a fix for this.
