chess.com showing symbols instead of icons

Above is screen capture from settings page. There are Greek symbols instead of icons. Any suggestions?

Try clearing your browser cache.

If that doesn't help it's possible a plug-in/extension is causing the Icons not to load correctly so you might need to disable some to find the culprit.

It didn't resolve the issue, but it is browser-related issue.

I have the same issue. Showing Greek symbols instead of regular icons. Very frustrating , don't know how to fix. I do use Firefox.

Usually that only happens if there's an interrupted page load or slow load.

What is your Firefox version?

I am using the latest version of Firefox, 125.0.3 . Everything seems to load Fast, no lag issues. Just weird Greek characters.

Do you have any extensions that might be interfering with site code. I'm not seeing any issues with version 126.0b6 (Developer edition) and hadn't seen any issues on previous versions.

I disabled the 4 extensions I had. I rebooted and Chess.com still shows the Greek characters.

You might try the Help option and report a bug.

I use Ubuntu Linux and I fixed mine by doing the following settings.

1. I set my System font to a font that supports English
2. I go to my Mozilla settings and use a font that supports English, or click on Advanced from the font option and tick the box that allow your page to choose their own fonts.
3. Reload your chess.com

I had the same problem and I think I solved it. You need to go into the font settings, under advanced settings, and enable the option to allow the browser to choose the best font. That should do it.
