Chess puzzle for begginers

Well, I guess, but part of a puzzle (and chess) is being sure you move works against your opponent's best (or most annoying) reply. 1...Kd6 is neither of these, likely black would start checking with the queen.
Also black would most likely play 2...Qxe5 to get a draw, although I understand you're just trying to show the ideas of the pin and discovered attack.
The puzzle is for begginers, the idea is to make them see the black's mistakes.
