Chess.com email

Is anyone else having issues not being alerted to new email messages on their home page?

I have noticed over the past few days that I HAVE been receiving emails but that its not being shown on my actual home page.

Before I report this as a bug I just want to know if anyone else is having the same problems.

Do you read your @chess.com emails just on the site or do you have them forwarded (and read them) via an external email address?

No I have them sent to the on site email I have never set up message forwarding. I checked all the settings last night in case something had changed

OK thanks. I've created a ticket for the programmers so they can check their end to see whats happening.

OK thanks I was going to submit a ticket but I didn't know if it was just me or more wide spread

Only a few have reported it so far, but I've checked it myself and there does seem to be a problem on the alerts.

I've actually had the reverse problem. I do get an alert when there is no new mail.

speaking of email (partly a different topic) for the past couple of days ive had trouble/failure trying to find the link to read my @chess.com email.

I get my email but there isn't any notification. I now have to checkto see if I have any or not.

Thats the problem I was getting but now with the email icon being in "my home" we won't ever get alerts ... I don't see the point in having it now :/

I'm sure they will fix it. I will bug them till they do.

Yeah I know but there has to be an expaination. It happened before the change over so that isn't probably the reason.

No this was happening weeks before.

I know, I had emails from a month ago that I never knew about.

It just seems weird that we have an email set up on here but we have to check it daily just in case cuz we don't get notified that we have any

I just sent Kohai a message and asked if she is getting notified when she gets an email. I'll come back if I hear anything.
