but also had the problem before on my laptop win7/firefox

Do you have the same issue if you click the piece you want to move and then the square you'd like to move it to?

Happened once again today. It kept dropping the piece early when moving a pawn up 2 spaces. Started a new browser session and it was ok then. It on;y did it in one game, and I've played hundreds of games lately and not noticed it.
Its happened 3 times today, dragging a piece to a take, chess.com drops the piece a square early and takes the rest of the move as the next move (premove).
Usually its just an occasional thing.But not today !
I would suggest a client app like babas should be developed. Anyway, I've had enough of this so I'm back to fics. see ya
