What should I do about this error? client error (429)
I have never heard of a client error message. I did find a bug in Chess.com that makes a server error screen appear, though. Creating a custom message with an HTML encoding value higher than 7F causes the error. This is done by editing the URL of certain pages, such as the login screen.
I have the same problem.
Also have the same issue. Solving puzzles, the error message reads “Request failed: client error (429)
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared all my history, cookies, etc. restarted my phone, still happening.

Today the site had really high server load and there was some work done to mitigate it. That's what was causing the puzzles issues.
Right now it should be back to normal.
