Crazyhouse game glitch...

Hey, I was playing a game of crazyhouse chess just now and near the end, I made a move where I laid down what my "piece bank" said was a pawn. When it landed, it turned into a rook! Because of the strategic placement of the piece, it ended up ultimately costing me the game. I couldn't defend my queen. I knew that I was laying down a pawn and the game changed it into a rook! Why did this glitch occur and will this glitch continue? Also, I am wondering if there is a way to have my rating points restored for that loss since it ultimately comes down to a glitch-induced "blunder" which isn't even a blunder. I placed down a pawn that somehow was turned into a rook as soon as I laid it down! My opinion is the game should have at least acknowledged it was a pawn, but it didn't. It misled me to believe I was placing a pawn down.
