I guess "Instert Position or Game" woul fullfill most of your needs? I guess you can add comments/variations into the original game file. All it takes is coms "copy-n-paste"

I was wondering how people insert chess boards into forum posts or daily puzzle comments. I'd like to go over a game I played with a friend by pasting the game (I would change it a little bit) in a message to with annotations and maybe some "what if" moves towards the end. Any ideas?
