Why does my board disappear every time I make a move against my friend?  I have to get it back via "Current Games".

Thanks

Are you using the website or an app? If an app, which one?

Their best advice for unexplained technical glitches is to clear your cache and do a hard refresh (F5).

Sort of sounds like the next set to Ouija.

Anyway, apparently it has something to do with Real3D. Are you using a 3d board? Though, this happened to me during a live with a 2d board. I can't quite remember how I sorted that out. Try changing your theme, and chess set.

Yes, that could always work. Especially with sites these days going onto JavaScript, cookies and cached data is the first culprit one should check. I'm not sure if there's a process for limiting such a refresh only to a specific site. That could definitely help with those who don't want to lose the rest of their data. Though I always thought that people generally ran away from cookies. Arrr the cookie monster.

Might that hard refresh (F5) be it? Is it specific to the current tab or site?

Thanks.  I am using the website, and this began happening a few days ago and now happens whether I'm on my desktop or laptop.  I'm not using a 3D board, but I'll have a go at F5.  I don't know how to "clear my cache" -- perhaps I've just never been sufficiently cache rich...?

Now the chess board has shrunk!

I'm not sure what browser you're using, but the cache is usually cleared when you clear your browser history (you might have to select the advanced options and manually tick off cache and cookies wink.png).

Are you a Beta member? If so, it might be better to report it directly in the club happy.png.

Did you try changing your theme or chess set? Don't forget setting your animation style to default.

Its a new bug from V3, staff announced a new "feature" ( they will not disclose) has caused this bug.  There is no fix to it.

It sounds like we're discussing some giant Corp that managed to screw up something major and now the public is left with some inexcusable side effects themes.png. Then again, chesspawn.png.com is a chess giant.

If ever, in the future, our minds were fitted with chips that connected us to great web, you might be the guy for cyber journalism. Don't let them fry our brains GeneralChang.

The chess.com dev team screw up?  Say it isn't so.
