Which web browser are you using? We recommend that you make sure you are on the latest version of the web browser you are using. Also, I recommend that you try out the "Online Chess" under the "Play" drop down at the top left as you will not have to worry about any disconnection problems there while playing.

Maybe the browser be at fault, be sure to check out your bandwidth as its crucial too.
May be your system runs out of bandwidth while data-exchanges (i.e. moves in your case), or some sort of problem like that.
When i use my Iphone or HTC, it occurs sometimes, even on Iphone 3.5G.
And i use 16 Mbps LL, still sometimes my chat bar starts throwing Offline-Online-Offline messages regularly.
It can be a site-error.
By the way, it occurs when your system looses connection to the site, so when you play, remember not to link to many websites simultaneously, or the link to the previous ones will be broken so as to take a new.
I am disconnected at least once every game and my time runs while disconnected. What can I do to stay connected?
