Do conditional moves show?

When I make a bunch of conditional moves for a game (3 moves by both sides for instance) then it seems that I dont see them being moved untill all moves are made and its my turn to make a choice again.

Maybe I miss them becuase while the conditional moves are being made the game doesnt show up as "its your turn" (as the moves are being made directly).

It would be better I think to also see the parts of the conditional sequence, instead of only the result.

example:

If make 3 sequential conditional moves:

if e4 then e5

if Nf3 then Nf6

if Nc3 then Nc6

If my opponent makes these moves it would result in: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. Nc3 Nc6

Now it seems that when I check the game everynow and then nothing has happend and all of a sudden when I come back the board shows: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. Nc3 Nc6

But I would also like to see it when 1.e4 e5  has been played (maybe I no longer like my next conditional moves)

The most likely thing is that your opponent makes a move, your conditional reply is executed, and then your opponent makes another move. So it looks as if they all happened at once to you.

If your opponent made one move and your conditional move was excuted and then your opponent just waited .... for several hours let's say .... then I am sure that you would see this if you checked the game (though of course, the game would not show as your move because it would not be your move).

Yes I think so too, corum. But I have been checking my games alot and also made a bunch of conditional moves and never did I see them being partially executed. Only the result. So thats why I thought it works that way.

But I am very aware of my perception being faulted.. maybe I remember it wrong or something else. So just checking here for a definitive answer :)

If you want we can set up an unrated game just to try.

Edit: I tried challenging you, but you are not accepting challenges. You challenge me if you want to try.

ill check my settings

So we tried and the conditional moves do show in between!

They dont when you keep watching the game, but if you refresh the moves sofar become visible. I assume that you can also change any sequences from that point on.

Sorry, this is completely new to me, and a quick search on the site didn't result in anything useful.

My question is this: HOW can I make conditional moves?

Avatar of IOliveira

Perharps your conditional moves are triggering the opponent's own conditional moves.

@schiot: we are talking about ONLINE chess here. Not Live. If you want it in Live youll have to look in settings, but I dont know where exactly becuase I dont use it. In Online Chess (3 days/move) there is a button "conditional moves" under the moveslist.

@ ElKitch: Thanks a lot for your reply. I can't see such a button anywhere even in Online Chess. The only "choices" I get in my Online games in the "Moves" tab are:

"Analyze
Explore
Get PGN
Flip Board

Submit Move
Cancel

Analyze | Settings |
Offer Draw | Resign

No "conditional moves" that I can see. Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know what to do to be able to get the "conditional moves" options on screen here? Am I missing even more options?

It only shows up when it's your opponent's move (so select "stay on this game" if you want to make some after your move).

Ah! Thanks! :) Now I found it!
