I'm not staying if Rapid stays the same

I drew a game again against another 2000 while up a queen and a rook. You need a 10minute mode with increment featured on this website or I'll never stay here. The current option is not featured so you will never get a game there.
This isn't feedback to ignore. I played chess since long ago and 10+0 use to never be considered rapid. 15+ was the standard for rapid. 10+2 is a lifetime closer to rapid, that increment is the difference between real chess and quitting. 15+10 is not an option for a busy 2000 player like me, but if you're lower rated, I'm sure you can find time for it. I'd even say 5+5 is closer to real chess than 10+0, fix the website.

Time controls with increments already exist. You have to choose that time control from the menu when you start a game.

Click more tume controls, then 10+5. Easy

They're not featured so I could spend 10 hours and not get one game. It's like a recent episode of the chess angle podcast (after my post), they mention my exact same point that a certain other site is better if you want increment as they're all featured.

Sounds like you'd be happier playing on that other site then. Maybe it's time to switch teams?

Edit: Wow. Another block by another overly sensitive OP. If what I've said here is too much for you to handle then you are definitely not ready for basic human interaction. It makes me wonder how you manage to get by in real life.

Put your phone down and touch some grass every now and then.

Well 5/5 is in more time controls and I got a match quite quickly, whats the difference? Also losing in 10 min game is a bit of a skill issue

Edit: Like #5, OP has blocked me, even though his 5 downvotes should be saying something. And he's ignoring that you can get games in 'more time controls' quite fast still

Also op has got to be trolling, what did Fet even do? (isolani definitely got blocked)

I love the no increment and I hate it, Ironically, I beat my highest rated opponent (a 2200) on time down 14 points of material

#1 I checked your game and I see that you need to get better with premoving. First: when checkmating with Queen+Rook and you have very low time, you can premove it, but you have to keep the Queen further away from the king and the Rook closer. This way, the Queen protects the Rook and the opponent's king can't take it. You have to practice checkmating with a Queen and a Rook by premoving all moves - safely. I recommend you to play with an engine from a custom position. This is a fundamental skill for online chess.

(Edit: I got blocked by the OP for this useful advice. Great. If you don't want to improve, you don't want to improve and just cry because you are lame in online chess)

By the way I also lament that the most popular time control is 10|0 (at my level, you can't even find 15|10 matches in a reasonable time), but I've adapted to it.

That's my level too. These other guys are 800 rated and miss the point.

yes its very difficult to get pair in 15+10 on chess.com i play on lichess for that , Lichess is good for longer time controls and there are people who play longer time control like 15+10 .10 +5 and 25 min or 25+10 . I usually use this when i need to practice on a real board

How about you join a decent club on this website and ask in the chat for a game with a certain time control?

And you said, "but if you're lower rated, I'm sure you can find time for it." I'm unsure how a person's ratings means they can find time but you (being an uppity high-rate) can't?

And just because someone rates an 800 doesn't mean they are incapable of understanding the point (as you said in your quote).

I'm just saying ... a person's rating on a chess website DOES NOT correlate to a person's intelligence or class of living or income or anything else. Just sayin'

ADDED: Some higher-rated players sure get on a high horse. Most are sweet just like everyone else but some really tweak my ... whatever.

That's a shame.
