DOES ANYONE FROM CHESS.COM READ THESE FORUMS??

I joined chess.com and signed up for a platinum membership.
1.  I started playing games and frequently lost.  I wanted to get better.
2.  I would review games to see what I had done wrong and what I had done right.
3.  I started looking at videos and asking other people who played chess questions
4.  To test these new openings and other ideas I would play games as a guest.  After the game was over I would sign in to chess.com and review the game
5.  I continued to try and learn more about chess.
6.  About 3 weeks ago, I could no longer play as a guest and review the game.

7.  My membership give me unlimited reviews.
8.  Until 3 weeks ago this was not an issue.
9.  No one is being hurt and there is no cheating involved.  I am learning more about chess this way.

I have already contacted tech support 2 times and they don't seem to be able to answer this question.
Questions:

Can someone tell me if chess.com changed their policy?
Why can't we review a guest game?
How does this hurt anyone except the members who have paid for unlimited review.

Thanks
Mark

Staff on occasion read the forums but mostly work through support tickets.

If you copy the PGN you should be able to get on and add it to the self analysis to run a review on it.

I'm asking to see if the issue was known

Martin,

Thanks for looking into this matter. Can you be a little more specific on copying the PGN? I have tried to do this a couple of times without much success.

Thanks

Mark

Basically, click the Share icon on the game and copy the PGN. Then when you log in, you can go to Learn > Analysis, paste the PGN, and run a Game Review on it there.

Found out that the issue you were seeing was by design and for now, the only workaround is to get the game, as mentioned, and work through the Analysis Board.

The ability to do your original method may work in the future again.

Martin,

Thanks for you help. That seems to do what I want. I really appreciate your help.
