Email alerts when it's my turn to move...

I'm  brand new to this site and trying it out.

When playing an online game, I will receive an email alert when my "time left to move" times down to 8 hours.  However I never receive an email when an opponent has moved and it becomes my turn.  So this means I have to keep logging back in and checking.

This becomes especially annoying when an opponent has gone on vacation.  How are things supposed to work in this case?  I suppose opponent could be on vacation for a month or more, and you have to keep checking back in on the site to see if he's come back and made a move?

Though maybe there is just something I'm not understanding - as is often the case...

But it doesn't work.  I do get alerts when running out of time, but not when it it becomes my move.

Yes, that's already checked too.

But I wonder now if this relates to the problem... When I log into the site, I tick the box, "remember me", or whatever it's called, so that I don't have to reenter username and password every time...
