Error message, too low a rating

Hi, I’ve been playing slow 1-day games with a friend. After the last game, clicking ‘rematch’ brings up this error: you’re rating is too low to challenge this user. (I have a higher rating than this person). Any solutions?

Send a new, unrated challenge to your friend.

There is a daily setting which ignores the friend’s rating. See link.
