I'm having issues playing chess on Chess.com bcoz the colors of my pieces are all messed up. Sometimes they're reversed and sometimes they're totally mixed up. Its been happening for days and I've tried everything I could - change my browser, update etc nothing works. Anyone else have the same problem??? Please help :\

I've seen one other similar topic. Do you have any plugins/extensions on your browser? Have you tried with private/icongnito mode?

Do you have a screenshot?

That said, it could be your browser. Some browser have a dark mode setting that will conflict with the site. Check your browser and disable Force Dark Mode (or something like that) if you have it and see if that helps.

I don't use Opera GX but they have a force dark mode setting. On option I've seen, which may or may not work, is to right-click the page a there should be an option to disable it for the page. However, I don't know if it disabled it just for that specific page or the whole site.

to anyone trying to fix this and are useing oprea gx if you go up on the top right corner of the screen there is an ajsutment tap and if you click on it and right under where its asks for light and dark mode you can click force dark mode on pages and then one you turn that off it should fix the issue

let me know if it works for you

i think this happens only on opera gx like everyone else said just right click and turn off "force dark page"

I am using opera gx and have the force dark mode option off. Whats up with that?

its a glitch- check if you did everything right, maybe restart the app or opera gx

For Chrome (at least on Android) go to chrome://flags and text search for "dark" or scroll to find 'auto dark mode for web contents'. Choose 'enabled with selective inversion of non-image elements'.

The dark mode theme on Chrome for Android does not work on most websites so you need this flag to get those pages to go dark. Toggling the force dark mode in the device settings seems to have no effect on Chrome.

If all else fails (clearing cache, etc.), then uninstall and reinstall the Chrome app. You might want to bookmark all your open tabs first.
