export games from archive

Is it possible to export games I play online? It looks like they are all saved in an archive. Can I export the whole thing a a pgn file? I would like to import it to Chessbase.

You can export one page of games at a time from your archive to a PGN. It recently (today I think) chaged to that method; you used to be able to load multiple pages at a time and download more that way.

MarcLonoff

Is it explained somewhere how to do it?

Martin_Stahl

It is pretty easy.

Go to your archive, Play > Archive. Change the filter to Daily or Live. You can also do additional filters if you want.

Select the games you want. If you want all on the page, click the check box in the header. For Live games, if you want to include timestamps, check the box next to the clock icon. Finally, click the download icon.

I am using the iPad app and do not see how to highlight games or the download icon. Do I need to use a windows computer? Thank you, by the way, for your help!

I wouldn't recommend exporting the whole thing at the same time. The tarriff for exports increases with the quantity that you are exporting. So I would suggest making multiple exports with small amounts at a time, rather than exporting the whole thing at once.

On the app, it is different. You can only get one game at a time through the menu on the game screen. Choose Share PGN

OK, I am in a windows 10 environment.  How do I download all the games in my archive?  I can only do 50 at a time.  How do I get back to the older games?  I am stuck on most recent page of 50.

You can change the filters and filter by date if you run into a pagination issue

jdcannon

Yeah, there is some weird limitation that causes issues for pagination after 100 pages. I hope we resolve it at some point.

https://chessinsights.xyz it will let you export all your games in your archive, no 100 page limit
