Fake Accounts?

For a few days now, I've almost only been getting 1200 players in 3-day chess who signed up a few hours ago. If they start with white, they don't move either. I have the impression that these could be fake accounts....?

Maybe avoid new accounts, you can abort them or cancel them and play a more established member 

I found out that you can set the rating for the opponent-search via "play" - "custom game".

Yes, this started recently for me as well (except with 800 level accounts). I'm very curious why there was a huge uptick in this in the last week or two. Never happened before. Feels like some setting was switched to match me only with people who haven't played daily before. Sometimes they play, a lot of time they never do and it ends in an abort 3 days later.

You can set a minimum number of games required for your opponent to be played in daily game search. When I start a new daily game search, I set the minimum game requirement to 10.

Thanks, ilg! That worked. It takes noticeably longer to get a match now but at least I'm not getting 90% unrated people who don't play their first move anymore.
