Yes, you will get notified whenever the user posts a new blog post if you’ve followed them.

Not necessarily. If, in https://www.chess.com/settings/notifications, "someone im tracking posts new content" is unchecked, you wont get a notif

Oh, ok. But you have to first uncheck it correct?
Also I think people can put some sort of privacy thing on their page so people can’t track them. Is that true?

Well yeah i mean you can turn make "may view my blog" and "may view my notes" "may view my friends list" to friends only... https://www.chess.com/settings/privacy
