Have you heard of cut and paste?
Forum Post Editor
Why, when you reject a game challenge, there is a button to post a Youtube video right next to the image icon but not in the forums?
Yes, of course I have heard of "cut and paste". Why the snarky response?
But have you tried pasting to the editor? Specifically, I tried pasting a block of left-aligned text before a pre-existing center-alligned diagram. The text displayed as center-aligned no matter what I tried. I could start the post all over again and get the allignment I want, but this would be stupid since "editing" means changing part of the post, not having to recreate the entire post.
Am I unreasonable for asking how to access the editor features that are clearly supposed to be available to me? (based on the image in the help menu).
If you did a search for info on this you would have found that this topic has come up previously.

Here is the relevant portion:

The only thing I get is the text box into which I can type my posts. The toolbar dissapeared some time back after breifly being available.

ah, yes. that caused a lot of problems for most people :/
/ So yes, chess.com should rewrite that help item so that you don't know what you are missing.

I've discovered, as I'm sure you have TheGrobe, that HTML tags can be written directly into the box from the iPad. So adding a newline is <br>, adding colors (useful for some forums) is with <font color="red">Hello Red World!</font>

So cumbersome, though.
Other people used to be able to enter raw html but that appears to be disallowed. (The forum appears to edit out < and > tags.) Let us know if you find a workaround.

But that shouldn't slow down an <font color="red">enterprising person</font> like yourself:

Thank you, now that was a helpful reply! And point taken -- I will search the forums more carefully before posting a question.
Anyone else here ever use StackOverflow? It has a great feature where it lists similar questions when you are typing your question. This would be a GREAT feature here.

AH REMEMBER WHERE YOPU ARE~ BY THE WAY, YOU WERENT SILLY ENOUGH TO PAY FOR THIS JUNK??
Why does the editor that I see (1st screenshot below) have less features than the editor shown in the editor help menu? (2nd screen shot). How can I add the extra features? (such as Left/Center/Right Text Allignment)
