Game Aborted after many moves played

In some rare instances you  may find that your game is aborted well past the start of the game, and you can find no evidence of the game ever happening. There are two reasons this can happen: 

1. You were playing an Arena game, and the Arena ended. When an Arena ends (the time for the Arena runs out) any ongoing games are aborted. Since these games will not have been completed during the Arena, they can not count toward the Arena points, and must be canceled. 

2. The server restarted. If you are playing a game during one of our scheduled server restarts, the game will be aborted when the server restart happens. ””

What if someone had a rated game (I was playing a 60 min game) and it is aborted in this way? What we can do about that? Nothing??

Reason for asking this (If you wanted): Today, I was winning a game against a 1050+ (I'm 950+) and this happened with no evidence of the game ever happening. That made my brain hurt a lot.

There's nothing to do. Other than maybe be aware that the site does live server restarts late on Thursday evenings US time. It doesn't happen all the time and there are occasionally restarts at other times.
