Game lost to abandonment within allowed time.

I just lost my most recent game to abandonment in a winning position. I tabbed out for less than 30s in a 10|5 game to get on my bus. The way I understand it I should have been allowed to disconnect for 80s before this happened. It is easy to confirm by the in game clocks that this happened really quickly. Any idea why this happens?
