Glitch in chess play

<p>This is the 2ndtime I played where the opponent's moving piece suddenly disappeared and my clock still running. It also showed his moves showing " null". What is that? Is that a hacker? Do you guys have any thoughts about this? Moderator? By the way, I am using an iPad 2. Thanks!

Ive always used an iPad to play chess, but that has never happened to me. it could be hacking. You could report that person if you are suspicious.

Please tell me you tried refreshing the page. 

This has happened to me twice today, once using the iPad app, and once using the iPhone app.  I don't think it's a cheat, just a bug in the apps or at the server.  The move shows up as (null) on the app, but appears valid when reviewing the game online using a browser.

Something like this has just happened to me. I've made my move, the piece I moved highlighted in yellow, but it still says it's my turn, and the clock is ticking down for me. Tried refreshing, clearing cache, different browsers, Chrome, IE, still the same.

you moved but your move didn't register with the server, so opponent doesn't see it but it is still in your browser.  Can cause Glitch and not much you can do.  Handycaps you on time best thing is know it might happen and how to fix it as soon as possible, or play longer games..
