@sammy_boi wow way to show that chesscom has such a nontoxic nonignorant community

Nino_98

You guys are right... I should just accept that this site sucks.

santiagomagno15

It happen to my but it was my fault, well my mouse fault, I was going to castle and I dont know why the arrow appear in the resign button, another time the arrow appear on the close window, it was a bullet game so losing 30 seconds is pretty much game over

sammy_boi

I'm only trolling bro.

sammy_boi

But seriously learn what hacked means.

JustOneUSer
If you take to long or leave the game you can be automatically resigned because chess, com thinks you are disconnected or simply trying to make your opponent wait for a win. Not sure if this applied here, tho.
Immortal101

I think it was just a random pop up then when you left the game it automatically resigned, although it doesn't work that way, I'm just not sure why. Did you check your time?

LM_player
If you got "hacked" as you say. Losing rating points would not be of importance to you.
If you claim that you didn't get hacked (even though the thread title says so), than it is User-Error, and nothing more.

If you wish to argue that it is too easy to resign, bring it up to the [Help & Support] Forums or
[Site Feedback & Suggestions].

I play on my PC and on my iPad. And after all the time I've used them, I've never had this problem.

You're absolutely right about hacking chess.com accounts. I have a PhD in Software Engineering (Concentration: Network Security) and am currently working as a 'consultant' for the FBI. I can't go into detail about what I do exactly, for obvious reasons, but trust me when I say that there is a room full of people in black suits, ties and sunglasses at the FBI working on tracking down scum who run scams like these. Trust me, I'm one of the suits.

But your phd in food science indicattes his food was posioned and your phd in french literature says "boi tu as été tellement piraté que personne ne te croit et je ne sais pas pourquoi j'ai décidé de persévérer dans la littérature française en tant que doctorat'

It's possible the site deliberately glitches the games of of free members

If they did do that then they'll provoke free members to leave the site.

I'm sure you put the buzzword "hacking" to get more attention to your forum, but you know the alternative website which is less buggy.

Nino_98

@ViscountVonJames I did not take too log and did not leave. I almost immediately tried to play Re5 after my opponents move (+-1:15 on the clock) Immortal101 What I just said and why would it show the leave game button. More importantly, why tf does chesscom have an interface where you resign by leaving the game? It's a really stupid idea.

Nino_98

@NationalPatzer Chesscom mobile interface looks too dang good though compared to "other" sites

@sammy_boi LMFAO

whatever the case, a similar thing just happened to me. my opponent laughed profusely moments before the game ended. I saw a counter start, and just 2 or 3 seconds later I was declared the loser. I will still use chess.com, but I sure hope chess.com is not overlooking an exploit. let's play

Been a while since your post, but this just happened to me after my opponent made their final move, which set me up for a checkmate. This occurred following the webpage automatically refreshing. I did not quit, and my win was stolen by a glitch. Unacceptable.

I also find it suspiciously convenient that its the moment my win becomes completely obvious that it autoresigned. I also was extra careful with what I was touching when I was playing because accidental resignations/draw offers have happened to me before(and most opponents are too desperate to decline something that offers rating points), so it wasn't like that!
