Got removed from live tournament after no-show of opponent (Android app)

I joined my first live Tournament (yeah! happy.png), but in the fourth round (it was a 5-round 10|0 Blitz Swiss (<1199) tournament), my opponent - who was White - did not show up. So after waiting 10 minutes I expected to win the game on time (always frustating way to win a game frustrated.png). However the game remained active (with my opponent's clock on 0), so I was afraid that I would miss the next round and eventually pressed the back button (Android app). I was asked if I wanted to quit the game, and since I had no choice, I clicked Yes.

After that I was apparently removed from the tournament completly, and the 'tournament list' in the app was completly empty (even no other tournaments were shown)

When the tournament was finished I check my game archive and saw that the game where my opponent didn't show up was even counted as a loss for me! sad.png

Questions:

1)  Is this a bug in the app?

2) Can I get my rating points back for that game?

3) When my opponent didn't show up I got the "... Thanks for your patience " message where it also says that no-show people will be excluded for future tournaments. I hope that I am not also seen as a 'no-show' for round 5 and will be excluded as well. If so, please remove me from that list

You should write to support@chess.com and tell them all that, which app you are using, what device you are using and its operating system, etc.

Ok, thanks. I will do that as well.

If you look at the game in your archive, your opponent had made a move. That means that you were disconnected and you lost on time. The apps are a little weird sometimes and if you exit the Live screen, you will end up resigning your game and in a tourney, a timeout like that, with no moves, will get you bounced from the event.

The way it got registered  (one move from my opponent) was not how it was shown in the app. I was in the Live screen during that round, but it did not show my opponent's first move. Instead I saw his time count down to 0.

After the previous round, I did switch to some of my daily games, but when the notification came that the next round was going to start, I switched to the tournament again, ended up in the Live screen an did see my game from that round. Unfortunately, it apparently did not reconnect me properly to the live event and did not detect my opponent's move.

So by "a little weird" you mean that it is a bug, that the app does not properly reconnect to the live event, right?

A shame... Next time I will not switch within the app at all, see if I can finish a tournament without 'glitches'.
