group admin spam

I'm being pestered frequently to join groups. There seemed to be an alert setting where I could stop these, but now it's gone, replaced by a reference to individual groups. Is there any (practical) way to stop this spam from arriving? There are too many admins to block them all.

Control which kinds of invites you want to allow/receive.
