HELP can't resign

The solution is actually really simple. Just play the absolute best move every time and you won't need to resign. That's what Kasparov does.

Oinquarki have you seen the game in question? I have no way of analysing my moves and i'm heavily out gunned

Once a game is lost, even the absolute best moves won't keep you from losing.

Not to mention that playing the absolute best move every time in chess doesn't fit in the simple category.

Even Kasparov has resigned games of chess.

Oinquarki: don't fall for it! You know what happens if you give advice on a game in progress?

Just give your password to a friend so that he can resign the game for you, then change the password if you don't trust him. Shouldn't be too hard.

No thanks

Because internet cafes cost money I don't have why should I pay £4 to resign? I should be able to do this
blackfirestorm
We have 1 internet cafe in my town which costs £4 an hour with a 1 hour minimum but this is besides the point. The point is that I shouldn't have to spend £4 each time I need to resign a game should I ?

I agree you shouldn't, but since the omnipotent chess gods didn't provide for this possibility, it seems to me your only options are to either keep moving, or let the clock run out. If you have another choice, I'm not seeing it.

If I allow the games to time out then it will affect my ability to play in some tournaments. Now the nearest cyber cafe to me is the 1 in my town or the loads in the neighbouring towns but to get there it's either a 2 hour round trip or an extra £7 on the bus. I find it amazing that this hasn't been resolved yet

Do you not have a friend or acquaintance who will allow you five minutes on their computer?

Also, are you so sure the problem is chess.com's and not your mobile browser's -- how are you accessing chess.com?  Via the chess.com mobile app, or by simply navigating to http://www.chess.com on your mobile browser and logging in?

blackfirestorm
Grobe I am able to offer a draw I can accept a draw I can navigate round all parts of the site even create team matches and vote to resign in vote chess so me personally cannot see it being my phone. I'm using a samsung tocco lite phone and have downloaded the opera mini browser. The mobile app on my phone is rubbish as the only thing it allows me to do is make moves which I can do plus a whole bunch of other things with my current set up
