Welcome back. I'm guessing you tried updating you email in the app. Did you try changing it when using a browser? I think I saw the option there.

If it helps, this is what I see when using a browser like Chrome or Firefox (not the chess.com app).
Settings -> Account and Edit (Contact Info - Email Address)
Then I see this screen. It has worked for me before, but haven't tried lately. I put in my current chess.com password and the new email I wanted to use.

Thanks, and yea I tried different browsers. It's all crazy that I can't change my email, shouldn't be that hard, but like I said the bot kept using the old one that doesn't even exist.

Hello. This site is the worst for help & support. I was muted for a month, no warning, no reason. Every time I tried to contact them they said to check my email, that no longer exists. I changed my email a long time ago and neglected to update it here. I can't enter my new email address now that I am not muted, and so tired of talking with a useless bot.
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
