The Left-hand Bar

This is chess engine evaluation, determining which side 
is better in certain position. Negative means that black has advantage.
Positive: white has advantage.
Sometimes you may see something like -M9: -M9 means that black can force checkmate in 9 moves.
If M+Number is positive, than white can force mate in n moves.
Actually advantage is something like:
0.70 - 1.00: Slight advantage
1.00 - 2.50: Moderate Advantage
2.50 - 7.00: Decisive advantage
7.00 - Mate in N: Winning advantage.

how do i get that bar on to be on the left hand side? 

you can only see it if u analyze or spectate

How do I undo the updated bar? They made it really skinny and I can't see who is better in what position

You currently can't, but you can hover your cursor over the bar to see the values.
