That is what I mean. I'm pretty sure it isn't something the site is doing, and if one of the ads is causing that, they will likely want to block the offending one.

I was wondering if anyone else has been seeing this big pop up message for ages.
Is it a chess.com message? It covers half the screen and can not be closed, you have to change pages. That's not Chess.com......you've got a virus on YOUR end.
That's very possible. But the exact same thing has happened to me many times. I cant remember what it said but it was a very large white display with black lettering. No color and no pictures.
It's possible it's a virus, but I did nothing to stop or get rid of it. The ONLY thing I did differently was stop playing live games on chess.com. It has not once happened on other sites and it has not happened once here since I stopped playing. I dont know, coincidence maybe. But it's been over a year and so far so good.
Earlier today I was not able to get a live-game to start here at the site and instead got a warning message about things being very busy, etc.
The window I have open for Chess.com keeps getting hijacked by some sort of virus or something, frequently with sound effects. A page appears that seems to want me to click on it. So far I have been able to x out the window after that or get rid of the page by restarting but sometimes it's not so .easy. I'm concerned one time I won't be able to get rid of it.

Right click to view in a new tab for larger image. Note that an advert is already being shown top right.
Thanks.
I would guess that is not a legitimate ad. Open a ticket with support. If you can get the link it is trying to go to, without actually following it, include that in the ticket.
