How do I change my photo on my Profile?

This has been solved. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Hi H, it doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong,  chess.com suggests

The problem is likely caused because your browser is caching the old image. Try doing a hard refresh on your Chess.com homepage and you should see the update:

  • Control + F5 (PC)
  • Command + R (Mac)

If this does not work, try closing out the browser and re-opening it and/or logging out of your Chess.com account and then logging back in.

And if none of these solutions work, please contact the Member Support department for further assistance.

After you select the photo from your documents folder, scroll down the profile page and click "save".

Thanks Stuart and Ronald. I'm using a large tablet at the moment but I guess I can find a computer.

I would have to say both,  but erm.. as you're not talking to me, erm, I'll just shut up now 😷

Charlotte

Or are you just trying to get a bunch of unsolicited friend requests?

Heather_Stephens

Hi Charlotte

I and some friends are carrying out a test. I posted that this was a photo of Anna Sharevich a few hours before you posted and it will only be up for one day before I go back to being a Jimmy Choo. I never blog anything so don't need followers. For the full story please go to the Off-Topic Forum ... Ingenious way to get Followers (probably on page 1 or 2) and then Message 157 (probably on page 8).

Thanks and don't tell anyone for the next day!

OK, now I see why the Anna avi was used; it was a trap or a test.  But the shoe avi can also be used as bait since there are a great many foot fetishists out there.

Heather_Stephens

Hello Ken

I think you're mistaken and maybe the great many foot fetishists idea is a myth - certainly they've never contacted me.

Look at the stats. You have 10,490 views on your profile page which is 5 times more than me. You have 76 friends, I have 4. You have 85 followers, I have 7 (who incidentally are wasting their time because I never blog anything). So if this was bait it would be very unsuccessful, but I'll still be putting the red shoe back up when I get back home from vacation cos I like it.

Cheers

H

I had a few followers which seemed a touch strange but it turns out that your friends are automatic followers so I wasn't being stalked after all. lol In your case you've still got 3 mysterious ( none friend ) followers, it's a bit weird that you can't find out who they are, maybe you have got a few foot fetishists after all 👅💅

yuk, as long as it's not a certain person I don't care. By the way, do you remember the advice that you gave me? I'm thinking about putting it on a T-shirt.

Sergeant-Andrews-Cat

Anna Sharevich looks like a slapper compared to Charlotte.

flabbi

Can you please re-align your avi?  Still making me dizzy.

Heather_Stephens

Sorry flabbi. I can't because of 3 reasons.

1. Scientific / Geographic. The world is a globe, so the curvature of the Earth means that what is horizontal in one part of the world is 90° somewhere else. Deal with it.

2. I'm on vacation and can't fix it until I get back to the Office while I pretend to work.

3. I'm dumb.

Haha, it could be a certain person but he's probably far too busy with the rest of em lol,  maybe it was just a few mouse slips so I don't think you need the T shirt yet, still,  I'd prefer to know who's following me, that's if anyone bothers to do so lol

How dare you diss the shoe 😨

flabbi

I think that shoe was a symbol
