how do I stop getting logged off for inactivity?

I have the app on my iPhone; I am always logged on.
I have the app on my iPad; I am always logged on.
I stayed with a friend in another state for a few weeks, and used his spare computer; I was always logged on.

My home computer is in the office in the back of my home. No one else even sees it, much less uses it. I get logged off after an hour. I have to log back in just about every time I use it.

I have been through all the settings. I have found nothing that addresses this issue.

I would like for this to stop happening. I would like to stay logged in on my home computer.

Thank you

Do you clear your browser history or cache/cookies?

If yes, that would likely clear your password requiring you to login again.

Hi there!

Like Manekapa mentioned, if you're clearing the cache on your browsers this will certainly log you off. However, when logging in, are you making sure you checkmark the "remember me" option? This is very important if you want to continue to be logged in!

Clearing the cache on my browser will stop Chess.com from logging me off on purpose?  How will it do that?

The cache is on my computer.  The logoff is coming from Chess.com. "You have been inactive for an hour. You are being logged off." Or words to that effect.

My cache has no relationship to that.

No, clearing the cache will log you off from Chess.com. But sounds like you're not doing that in the middle of your session.

What I recommend you to do is log out, log back in and make sure the "remember me" option is marked. Now, here is an article that provides information about the browser settings that could be another possibility of why you're being logged off.- that's if you're using Google but there are tabs to review Safari and other browsers!- https://help.medium.com/hc/en-us/articles/226447508-Why-do-I-keep-getting-signed-out-
