How do you do this

Ok so today I was looking at random people's profiles when suddenly I saw this

This user is a cool guy named @Diamonds_and_netherite, as you can see

But what I really want to know is...

WHY IS THERE A FOLLOW BUTTON WHERE THE FREIND REQUEST BUTTON NORMALLY IS?

I think I have seen this in other places as well

Furthermore, when I clicked on the follow button, I could then send a friend request.

I really want to know how to do this for my profile

i ignored it tho bc it did the same thing like any other profile

I think it happens if you streem on here or somthing like that

If a member has Allow friend requests disabled you'll only be able to Follow

I could also be they blocked you

Why is it that after I pressed follow I can send a friend request
