What do you mean by downloading a game 'locally'?
I will wait for 24 hours now, as you said. I hope the files arrive. Which software do you normally use to open a .PGN file?
I am currently using the Chess temp PGN viewer, but it would be nice if you recommended to me, an offline software. Thanks.
I can help you there - PGN files are simple text files so any text editor will work such as Notepad. I havn't tried doing what you are suggesting but I frequently 'capture' the FEN string (a simple line of text that describes a chess position) or the complete PGN (includes the FEN but also gives player info' & moves).
You can do this on Chess.com by clicking on the FEN/PGN button underneath the board diagram - a window is opened containing all of the PGN data. Then select all of this & copy/paste it into your text editor.
Then you can paste it into the Board Editor if you want to analyse the game further or do things like sending it to a friend via message or e-mail. It's just text so you can use it like any piece of text !
i mean download the pgn file to your computer directly. By going to you r game archieves, click on the view button and click "get PGN"
you may find what you are looking for here:

another program you may want to check out is Fritz

If you open the game in your account, there should be a selection on the right hand side that says "Get PGN". If you click it, it should download the PGN file directly through your browser for that game.
Normally, when I do the email PGN request , I just ask for all my games (using "Download all my games in one PGN"), and it usually arrives in a few minutes. This goes to your regular email though, not to the messages inbox on your home page here.
I wanted the PGN downloads of around 8 games in my account. The site told me that the PGN would be generated and then e-mailed to me.
How long does it take for it to be e-mailed?
Can somebody please help?
