Strange, why are schools blocking chess.com? My school has never done that before-

Honestly, at my intermedaite they used to block chess.com all the time. Chess class was impossible. I don't get why they block chess.com. We had to go out of our way to use a VPN that was powerful enough, or we had to use some other wbiste

You'd think that by writing to the school board, you could get some attention.

Chess.com SHOULD BE BLOCKED at schools. You are not there to play chess. YOU are there to learn how to read, write, add, subtract, the wrongs of the past so that they are not repeated (a specific 79 year old clearly failed that class), the fact that you don't put a sodium block in water in your house, etc!

Schools that have chess clubs, that is an after school activity and they should be playing against each other with boards and pieces, not on chess.com posting on forums.

I know teachers first hand. 90% of today's kids are clueless as to how to sit down and shut up and let the teacher teach, and then actually doing their work. They whine about tests, don't study, and then claim they didn't know that the test was this Monday when it was announced 6 times in the last 2 weeks.

Chess.com SHOULD BE BLOCKED in schools! No wonder Gen Z cashiers can't make change at the register and Gen Z waiters and waitresses don't even understand manners when at work, calling their customers Sugar and Sweet Pea and Boss Man and Bruh - It is Sir and Mam to you unless they are a frequent regular that you know by name and you wait on them every day or every week on the same day of the week, etc.

What is wrong with people these days?

Chess is more useful than 97% of the stuff you learn in school. School is the main reason I wouldn't want to be reincarnated.

That is clearly a false statement. If that were true, over 97% of posts here on chess.com would be grammatically correct. I see statements like the following all the time, and not only on chess.com, but everywhere, and 95% or more of posts with trash like the following are by those between ten and thirty:

  • It is to hot outside
  • Your going to kill me
  • I went to there concert last night
  • I had for cookies last night

All of those are wrong! Too, not to. You're, not Your. Their, not there. Four, not for.

I have seen cashiers that cannot figure out change without a calculator if they have an older register that does not display change. For crying out loud, in a split second, you should be able to figure out that if I owe you $3.37, and give you a $5 bill, that you owe me a dollar, 2 quarters, a dime, and 3 pennies! Jeez, people today are so stupid! They can't communicate properly, they can't do basic addition and subtraction, and it's because of fools going around saying school is 97% useless!

God help us all when Gen Z is supposed to be taking care of Gen X in nursing homes! We are on our own fellow Xers!

You literally posted this here, on this forum.  YOU have a chess.com account. If you say this, then YOU shouldn't play chess. You are actually so stupid. You live in the USA, and its a horrible as country, with litter and things everywhere. You don't understand. You are wrong. Why are you even posting this if you hate us so much? What's wrong with playing goddamn chess? Now if you say something one more tme, that means you hate chess, yet you're saying all this on YOUR chess.com account.

If you're saying that, what in realtion does that have to do with chess.com at school? Also cashiers let them take their time. Like bro you do not have patience for god's sake and if they get it wrong just tell them it.

I literally won the math award in my middle school, got a 100 on the geometry regents, and no I couldn't figure that out in a split second. And that certainly doesn't pay enough for that.
