How to create an alternative account?

Does anyone know how to create an official alt? I know there's a document about it but I can't find it....if any of you know something, let me know Thank you

Chess.com support, request one. Idk

Just contact staff. Keep this in mind though, if it's approved:

1. You may only use it to practice chess.
2. You cannot tell anybody that it's you.

I'm pretty sure that you can tell people that you have an alt. One of my friends made one and they told everyone and I'm pretty sure lots of people tell about their alts. Might be some other alt type but...

I know somebody who had an alt. When they told everybody that it was them, the alt was closed for abuse.

No, I can't remember their user right now. They should be reported though, they were closed for abuse 4 days ago.

@Carjbee123 is who I'm talking about. Don't know the alt though.

Just having an alt, even if unapproved, doesn't mean it's going to be closed. An account closed for abuse will have happened due to some other TOS violation in most cases.

You can tell people it's you tho, right? But not play games/tournaments/vote chess with your other account
