I thought an email was required to register.
Did you try https://www.chess.com/settings/change-email
If that doesn't work, I would write to support@chess.com. be sure to include your user name.

If you used one of the integration logins, such as Google, Facebook, or Apple, and the option provided by @justbefair doesn't work, you'll need to contact support.
