That statistic should be changed so it is over the last 90 days, like the timeout statistics. I think it presently includes your entire history. If you took a day or longer per move at some point, it can take a very long time to reduce your average.
With nearly 1000 games in your history, you would have to play within 2 hours on about 250 games to lower your average below 3 hours.
