How to stop Spam

I receive thousands of emails from chess.com. Each time I leave comment on friends wall or make important comment in a chess game thread. I consider this spam and like they are hacking my device. How to stop this from getting to me? 

Receiving emails from chess.com is not hacking.  if you wish to quit receiving them just uncheck the box where it says you get emails from chess.com

I read this on the internet. That I must watch out for sneaky traps. I will try your advice for uncheck I got box in hand. 

Check your settings. There a number of alerts and tracking options you can turn off the limit how often you receive those types of updates.
