I lost a game that I aborted

I aborted this game, but it was counted as if I resigned before I made the first move. What is happening here ?

Before I make the first move, it is not even possible to resign, only to abort the game, yet this game which I aborted counts as a loss

If you abort games too often, you lose the ability to abort and you either have to play or they count as resignations.

Someone should explain this somewhere in clear before getting this type of s..t

I wanted to abort games because I was paired with players well under my ELO rating so if chess.com wants to make the things better they should make the pairing algo better...or is it that you do not have enough players on line ...which is a sign we should head to better places ?

There should be plenty if players online. One thing to check is to make sure your seek settings are where you want them. If you are getting paired outside that range in the requests, especially by a large margin, bug report it.

what is considered "outside of your margin" Is 180 points enough for that ?

Sure, if you have your seeks set to not play opponents -100 of your current rating and you're getting that, absolutely. Probably still worth it for -150.

Then it should have been written resign instead of abort. At least I should know that if I abort the game it should be counted as a loss. This  way it is dirty since I thought I was aborting the game and only after there was nothing I can do to change it I was presented with the fact that I lost points. The only fair thing is to say before the match "you aborted several games recently, if you abort next one it will be counted as a loss" or something to that effect and then give me the resign button instead of the abort one since move 1.
This way, the points were straight up stolen from me.

The main thing is that I clicked on the abort button, not on the resign button, nobody played a single move in this game and I was not given the information that I would lose points If I abort that game.

Me ha pasado varias veces. Estoy harto. Tanto esfuerzo para perder mis puntos. Encima cuando pierdo me bajan de 10 pero cuando gano solo subo 6.

Este juego es una farsa

You don't have any recent zero move rated losses in your archive.

I was talking about the game I posted in my first comment on this thread. I didn't see your response until now so that's why I responded now. The game was months ago. I don't care about the rating I lost in that game I just think that it will be unfair if I or other people lose points in the future because of stuff like that.

This things is still happening I was paired way below my rating and I even played one and beat and when paired again I abort the game which cost me points and happen 3rd time paired with the same user and lost points without making a single move.

Please sort out the mess Chess.com

the chesscom bug, which crashes not for the first time, and you can open the next window and it works there, exclusively a chesscom error, I ask you to return the rating for all parties for illegal and boorish actions of a chesscom that hangs on its servers (if you want to deprive someone of a rating or spoil the mood, start with Hikaru, because of him alone you You restart the title Tuesday, but you don't care about other players) thanks for watching

If you have a high disconnect/abort rate, as a percentage of completed games, you loe the ability to abort and all games that start as rated will be rated, regardless.
