This is a recommendation against playing long time control games and instead playing correspondence chess. The two are different beasts with different rules.
Again, your suggestion is no solution at all.
Or better yet, if you want to play long time controls--seek out a local club or start playing otb tournaments (fewer disconnects and aborts that way).
Two problems with this suggestion is if you live in the boonies or even many populated areas of the USA, there is no chess action nearby.
The other problem is you might actually have to shave, shower and put on decent clothes - something not required for enjoying internet chess.
Maybe it is not nice to say this, but if I made the effort to shave, shower, and put on decent clothes, I'll probably want to go somewhere more interesting than a chess club.

This person is spreading comments WHICH I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE WOULD BE VERY WORRIED ABOUT
I WOULD LIKE TO ASK MEMBERS VIEWS THAT SEE MY COMMENTS HERE IF THERE WHERE AWARE THAT A PERSON WAS SENDING COMMENTS ON THIS SITE THAT COULD AFFECT YOUNG PEOPLE THINKING AND OLDER PEOPLES THINKING ALSO.
THESE COMMENTS COULD ALSO MAKE SOME PEOPLE VERY WORRIED ABOUT WHAT THIS PERSON IS SAYING.
Been a member our views should not be deleted such as mind where and I was just pointing out that the comments that a certain member comments could change and worry a person thinking.
Then why should this be private if a member is posting such comments.
How peopl would be affect would depend on the person. They could be young, not so young, male or female but depending on the person could lead them in a very dangrous direction. They are very young people playing chess on this site and if there Mother or Father say such comments they would maybe take these young people off the site due to such comments which would be a great pity.
Such comments have let to cult groups all over the world and you know how they can effect peoples minds.
Regarding the person I am talking about above he is playing 90 online games at present.
His rating is just over 1000. Is this normal are is he just there to spread his comments??
The comments that he sent on my chat section have been removed so the staff of this site must also think they are not for this site.
I would like his comments to be removed from all the members he has sent these worring comments to.
Under his complete profile he has a comple page of these dispurting comments which are still on his profile.
Has the staff have removed them from my chat sections I would like the comments from his complete profile be removed has they must have found like myself that his comments are not for this site has they have removed them from my chat room.
I am still waiting from a reply from a staff member if my game with him can be stopped without me lossing points.
I do not want to be playing such a person but I also do not want to give points away from me by accepting that I retire from the game itself.
The staff know this person and about his comments. Could they at least comment and say hear what they themself think of such comments and do they think are they suitable for this site.If they think they are not then they should be removed.
