I won but my rating dropped!

The same thing happened to me once, in Live chess as ye are reffering to. I assumed my opponent had left and had ran out of time (because the clock kept ticking down...and i waited... there was no annoucement or anything then i logged out finally. Back in to find i had dropped... what must have happened was that I, and you in this case, had somehow been disconnected without us realising... so we in fact lost without realising :(
Yeah, most likely you disconnected.
If your opponent seems to be taking a long time to move, try typing into the chat box, if your message shows up, s/he is still "there", just not moving. But, if you message does not show, you have been disconnected.
try doing that on yahoo, those little lame windows have more bugs then a camel that just eat some racid curry.
yahoo dies if you accidentally make an illegal move in its game.
I was playing "Nothing As It Seems" today. He made a few moves and then just stopped. Of course he eventually ran out of time, but the computer never told me that I won. I waited about 10 minutes; then logged out. After logging in again I realized my rating dropped (possibly due to logging out). Was I scammed by Nothing As It Seems?
