Doesn't appear to be any bug, at least in the one game I played. The bot seems to be higher strength in the opening for sure but there are a lot of low rated players that can play the opening well.
The bot is worse in the middle game and endgame and plays more like an 800 would. So, if you're playing a decent opening I would expect the bot shouldn't be too hard to beat

Bot isn’t that hard. Now Arthur, he’s good. I’ve beaten a 1800 bot before but Arthur is to good

Yes, I think it's a typo--should be 1800. I'm 2 wins, 1 stalemate draw, and about 8 losses with her. Every other 800 bot that I play is easily defeated.

Why? This bot is easy
When Cristinini announced the bot was released she said something like "they put 800 elo base but will increase while i do and also the bot will learn my play style". It's look similar to Luka Doncic's bot (Luk.ai)
I guess that's the explanation. I almost quit chess cause of that bot. 
I've already searched the internet to see if others have had this problem, and I found that many people on Reddit are also struggling to beat IamCristinini. I've managed to defeat bots with 1100 ELO and bots with 1000 ELO aren't a challenge anymore, but IamCristinini, with only 800 ELO, keeps defeating me every time.
