Use Tactics Trainer. Use Chess Mentor, especially the beginner lessons if you want/need to; they help tremendously. Then play correspondance, and play some blitz, but not too much.  When you become more aquainted, you could also start looking at openings, but preferably opening "principles" rather than anything memorization heavy.  At club level any complicated opening lines are not often useful, but more importantly learning them would be misplacing your priorities.  Chess is 99% tactics.

If you would like to play quicker games go to Live Chess, if you want to play at 2-3 days per move then Online Chess. (You have them both under Play.) Later if you decide to make a paid membership you will be able to use extra functions like Chess Mentor and Tactics Trainer.
