Inviting Users

I seem to remember something about inviting users and then if they get premium, I get premium? How does that work? Is it still a thing? If they get a year long gold membership, will I get a year or just a month?

Thanks,

Jom

Yes, there used to be widgets for inviting users. If you put somebody's name in to the widget, they got an email and if they signed up for premium, you got something.

Those have been gone for a long time.

You can find topics about them in the forums by searching for widgets or referrals.

I'm not certain if it the regular referral program is still in effect. I think it was replaced with the affiliate program.

When it was in place, you would get one month premium for  a referral that got a year membership.

Hmm... that is sad. I thought I read something about this three weeks ago. I guess not. Thanks guys!

I'm not saying it isn't still in place, just that it might not be.

There is still a way to invite and if a member invited that way gets premium, you might get credit for it.

I was hoping I could refer my dad an account, he would get a yearlong premium, and then I would get one too. But it isn't worth the risk of 30 bucks. My dad just got his job cut by 25% pay sad.png so I'm the one paying for the membership.

Yeah, even if it still is in place, it would only be a month for the referral.
