Is all the day that the system get stuck .. the clock ho ahead but you can’t move. Very often the other person understand and we make draw and another game but sometime there are

Chess.com, please get your act together. I’m a paid member and it is frustrating to get timed out and lose an winning game. This is happening too often in last couple of weeks. It is not fun anymore

This happens every game now. iPhone 11, all updated. App version 3.9.14(2). Happens on both WiFi and 4G. I’m a paying member and this just isn’t good enough. I see now there’s a newer app 3.9.15(2). I’ll test that one now...

  • I have 3.9.15 (2) installed in iphone 7, but timer got stuck two times during 10 min game. Killing the app and reopening helped, but lost lot of time.

Incredible this hasn’t been fixed yet! Happily canceled my subscription.

I have the same problem on my iphone, but if you propose a draw and you're opponent refuse it, the timer start the countdown again. You should be able to speak it in chat very faster for not loosing too much time! happy.png

same problem here ... really unfortunate sometimes ... reopening the app didn't work for me, i have the newest version of the app and ios 12.5

This happened today on 3.9.15 (2) version:

As you can see, this time my clock is running again (first it was stuck for a brief moment).
But.. I cannot see the move of my opponent and I cannot move myself.
Backward/forward button works but is not resolving.

 

My opponent later told me in the chat that he had made his move and everything seems normal to him. From his perspective, it was my turn.
From my perspective its is indeed my turn, but I cannot see his last move. Instead, I see my own last move an cannot move further. There, the game is stuck.

So yeah.. the clock is not freezing anymore. But this issue is clearly not fixed.

@Chess.com: Just trying to be constructive here. Every app faces bugs from time to time after all.
Just wondering if there is a ticket system running to catch support like this? Freshdesk, Zendesk, Jira ... Otherwise I am willing to centralize all info directly into a ticket over there.

This forum seems not the perfect way to centralize this IMO.
(All I can do is spam the forum and hope this will get picked up... I took effort to make a screen capture as well as describing it as clear as possible).

On the latest version 3.9.15 (2) on IpadOs my clock would keep running after I made a move. The only option for the other player to see my move and play was to propose a draw.

Same problem. Updated the app and encountered a new bug where the clock kept running after I made a move

I have noticed that suggesting a draw seems to unfreeze the other player when they are stuck. I am not sure whether the request gets through as I have never had anyone accept a draw in this circumstance.

In my last game, I got the problem so I offered a draw to unlock it, opponent accepted (I did not want that). What are you going to do? Use another app until they fix it.

The ticket system is swamped right now and they are asking people to be patient.

I have messaged the iOS developers that there still are problems even after the new version is installed.
