Is it legal if I resign at the beginning of a game in a chess tournament?

I have been playing in past tournaments for more than three years. Most of them have reached their final rounds and I have to play one more game against each opponent in addition to my current game. I can't stand it any longer and I don't want to play another game. So I decided to quit the game from the beginning, whether it's to my detriment or not. Is there anything wrong with that?

Why don't you just withdraw? It will take effect without any new games having been created.

I mean the games that are in the final round. I withdrew the tournaments that haven't reached the final round yet.
